     In the early 1900ís, working in the Salumeriaís of Little Italy, Patsyís Lancieri perfected ìNew York Style Pizzaî. In 1933, he opens the citys first Pizzeria Restaurant on 118th Street and First Avenue, establishing himself as New Yorkís foremost pizza baker and inspiring scores of imitators.

     Over 60 years later, Patsyís Pizzerias still proudly serve his famous recipe ìold worldî style pizza throughout the city:
